Hunting: Exotic Axis Deer
Experience the thrill of the hunt with our expert guides in the pristine woodlands of East Texas for Axis deer. We have a solid herd of Axis deer in all size rages and support bow as well as rifle hunting. You can expect a quality hunting experience as you harvest the Axis of a lifetime.
Long Range Precision Shooting Classes
Master the craft of long-range shooting in a safe, professional environment. Our expert instructor, Charlie Melton, is a retired Navy Seal Sniper who will guide you through instruction in shooting from 100 to 1000 yards. Each shooter will be provided technical guidance and safety training for all skill levels.

The Crows Nest
A one-of-a-kind, secluded retreat suspended 20 feet up in the East Texas pines, The Crow’s Nest is a split-level bedroom and bath where you truly blend into nature. Hunt right from the bedroom windows or step onto the porch for a front-row view of the ranch. The spa-like bathroom features a shower, soaking tub, and a large picture window so you can watch wildlife wander by as you unwind. During your stay, a dedicated golf cart is provided for easy access and to accommodate all your needs. Enjoy electricity, running water, and AC/heat while you skip the Wi-Fi in favor of good old-fashioned conversation.
Cherokee Cabin
A spacious, tucked-away retreat that comfortably sleeps up to eight guests, Cherokee Cabin features one full-size bed and two twin-over-full bunk beds. Enjoy a cozy coffee corner, two full bathrooms, and a slightly remote setting that feels worlds away. Start your day on authentic Amish rocking chairs, breathing in fresh cedar and pine as you watch the sunrise from the east-facing porch.
The Crib
Unwind in our charming ranch efficiency, a cozy retreat perfectly suited for up to four guests. This welcoming layout offers two twin beds and one full-size bed, featuring a private bathroom and handy kitchenette. We provide everything for a comfortable stay: plush linens, fresh towels, quality toiletries, and full cookware, ensuring you feel right at home the moment you step onto our Texas soil.
Quinn Suite
A beautifully appointed retreat featuring a full sized bed, full-size sofa sleeper, and modern bathroom. With premium bedding, a 60-inch TV, and plenty of space to unwind, this suite comfortably sleeps up to four guests.
Snow Suite
A thoughtfully curated haven featuring one queen sized bed, a comfortable sleeper sofa, and a modern bath. With plush comforts, rustic elegance, and ample quiet space, this suite provides a relaxing stay for up to four guests.
Man Cave - Community Hangout Room
Our luxury barndominium-style hangout room, the Man Cave is the heart of the ranch. Settle into plush couches and chairs, catch the game on multiple TVs, and warm up by the roaring stone fireplace. Challenge your crew to pool, cornhole, or cards at the game table, then unwind at the full bar for a true Texas-style gathering spot.
Hearty Texas Breakfast
Fill up on farm‑fresh eggs, thick‑cut bacon, and seasonal fruit, plus a rotating spread of pancakes, biscuits, breakfast tacos, quiches, and lighter options. The menu changes with the day, but breakfast is always downright delicious.
You won’t go hungry at Morgan Creek Ranch. Each day begins with a full, hot country breakfast to fuel your time in the field. Lunch is lighter and timed around your hunt, so you never have to choose between staying on a deer or a good meal. In the evening, everyone gathers in the dining room for a three-course, family-style dinner where you’re treated like one of our own. We serve homemade dishes with a focus on wild game and hearty comfort food, paired with beer and wine for those who’d like a drink. The Precision Shooting Class with Charlie Melton at Skull Rock Range was an outstanding experience. Charlie has a great way of taking complex shooting concepts and breaking them down into simple, practical lessons that are easy to understand and apply. The hands-on instruction was excellent, and Charlie’s knowledge, patience, and attention to detail really stood out. He wasn’t just teaching you how to understand your rifle, make better decisions, and become a more confident and consistent shooter. I highly recommend this class to anyone looking to improve their long-range shooting skills. It was time and money well spent, and I came away from the class a much better shooter.
